Tear resistant
A PU backing offers a stronger bond due to the even distribution of the polyurethane over the fibres. This minimizes the possibility of fiber breakage or uprooting over time. There is no hardening or brittleness of the substrate, even under extreme weather conditions and prolonged intensive use.
Water permeability
Under continuous wet conditions, the PU backing provides excellent adhesion and dimensional stability. The artificial turf does not absorb moisture, which optimizes the water permeability.
Friendly to surroundings
A PU backing is odor and solvent free. The material is odorless and will remain so because it does not absorb animal urine (unlike a latex backing). The PU backing ensures that moisture and liquids do not penetrate into the underlayer of the artificial grass, but are drained off with rainfall. This way the artificial grass is safe and healthy for users.
Lightweight
