Self-adhesive tape is a ready-to-use solution for quickly and easily connecting artificial grass seams. This adhesive tape is popular, especially in the DIY market, because it is so easy to apply. You only need to unroll the adhesive tape, remove the thin film, and then lay the seams of the two artificial grass pieces against each other and press firmly.

The advantage is clear: installation is quick and easy. However, despite its popularity and convenience, there are clear risks associated with this product. We would like to point out the potential disadvantages, such as reduced stability with temperature differences and a shorter lifespan of the connection.

Adhesive tape in combination with one- or two-component glue

Adhesive tape in combination with one- or two-component glue offers a significantly more stable and durable solution for connecting your artificial grass seams. The application requires slightly more effort than with self-adhesive tape, but the long-term benefits are considerable.

You unroll the adhesive tape, apply the one- or two-component glue evenly to the adhesive tape, and then carefully lay the seams of the two artificial grass pieces precisely against each other. After pressing, a very strong and durable connection is created. This product is extremely stable and resistant to shrinkage or expansion of the artificial grass due due to temperature differences. In short, your artificial grass seams are guaranteed to remain perfectly aligned, even under varying conditions. This solution is absolutely our preference for professional and durable installations.

Both products are still available at Europe Grass. However, our preference is for installation using adhesive tape in combination with one- or two-component glue. The use of self-adhesive tape is at your own risk, given the potential disadvantages for the long-term stability of your artificial grass installation.
